I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in Marin County, just north of San Francisco. Ever since high school, I have been passionate about health and fitness. I have dedicated myself to learning about and exploring the world of fitness since I was 16. At the time when my passion started, I could have never dreamed about what I have achieved today. I placed 2nd in a national bodybuilding competition when I was 20. Soon after, I received my personal training certification from the National Academy Of Sports Medicine. I was also featured in two issues of Men’s Workout magazine, a world-wide publication. I received further certification by NESTA, The National Endurance Strength Training Association. I even appeared on a national television infomercial for “The Bean” exercise ball.

In the past several years I have expanded my personal training practice to include Bikram yoga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and surfing. Yoga has brought me increased flexibility, spirituality, and strength. I actively incorporate yoga principles and stretching into my clients’ workout. I also train Jiu-Jitsu with world-renowned instructor Fabio Santos who holds a Red/Black belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Due to my unwavering commitment, I was promoted to purple belt within three years of training and within six years, I was promoted to a brown belt. I have competed in over twenty fights in the past five years in the local, national, and world  Jiu-Jitsu championships. I am currently working diligently towards my personal goal of becoming a black belt national and world champion. I find peace and solitude with my surfing. Surfing is my medicine after a strong week of training and heavy sparring. There’s something about the feeling of riding atop a  wave of nature’s most beautiful creation. The salt water heals my joints, and detoxifies my body, leaving me feeling mentally present, spiritually balanced, and refreshed for whatever life has to offer next.

Recently I completed my studies in Exercise Science and Physiology at University of California, San Diego. Going back to school proved to be an overwhelmingly empowering experience which forever transformed my world of fitness. The program director Fabio Comana is one of the world’s leading exercise physiologist and teaches in the Kinesiology department at San Diego State University. Being a student of Fabio’s was the most invaluable experience any fitness professional could ever ask for. Since I began in this industry almost ten years ago, so many advances in exercise science have occurred and I thoroughly enjoyed revamping my education. To be the best, one must learn  from the best, and Fabio’s instruction allowed me to be at the top of my game in the ever growing world of health and wellness.

My goal when training is to transfer my commitment and passion to my clients as I guide and support them to new levels of fitness. The most rewarding parts of my work are the physical, tangible results I see every day and the feeling I get knowing that I have helped people achieve their goals and improve their lives.

I set a positive example for all my clients by maintaining a strong, lean physique using the same discipline and hard work that I advocate every day. I use my knowledge and experience to create group programs that incorporate life style habits to optimize clients’ training results. I also prioritize making and keeping lasting relationships with clients past or present. I am experienced, loyal, reliable, and enthusiastic. I will work you hard and make you feel proud of it! I appreciate all of your trust and loyalty.

Thank you,
